Position Description

Clinical Nurse 2 – Inpatient (General Med Surg) | Full-Time/Part-Time Nights | Pennsylvania Hospital

Join Penn Medicine, where breakthroughs happen every day. We’re seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Unit, a 43-bed unit providing exceptional care and achieving outcomes that exceed national benchmarks.

Position Highlights:

Location: Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Full-Time Nights (36 hrs/week) or Part-Time Nights (24 hrs/week) - (7 PM–7 AM + every 3rd weekend)
Surgical service lines include Colorectal, Urology, Gynecology, ENT, and General Surgery, plus general medicine patients
RN assignments typically 3–5:1, supported by skilled Patient Care Technicians

Deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
Apply professional practice competencies in Leadership, CQI, Safety, Technology, and Teamwork
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of excellence
